Can I just be real with y’all for a moment? How many of you have these big plans? Big dreams to conquer some huge project? Do you ever feel like things just aren’t going anywhere?

I feel like that All. The. Time.

I have all these things I want to do. Big dreams. Like huge! I find that I wake up all jazzed about getting these big projects off the ground just to be shot down by the road blocks that pop up through out the day. Let me tell you… not anymore!

I’ve decided I’m not letting anything from the outside influence my ability to get the job done. Why? Because my kids are more important to me. Being able to be home with them during hours of the day when many kids in our community are sent of to daycare is a huge deal to me. I’m also thinking about their future. I don’t want them to grow up with the struggles that I had.

I remember at time when growing up that we didn’t know if we were going to have food for dinner. We weren’t sure if that next knock on the door would be us grabbing suitcases and walking out of our house. It’s not a happy memory. It’s also not what I want for my kids.

I think it’s safe to say that there are a lot of families out there, like us, who life from paycheck to paycheck often borrowing from family members just make ends meet. I also don’t want to be in that position anymore.

So, let’s be real for a moment… stop shopping outside of your local community. Do you really want to support your best friend’s new business? Then shop with her. Use her services. and (here’s the clincher) Pay. Full. Price. Stop asking for discounts because it’s your sister’s brother-in-law’s wife. If you really love and support their business, then be a customer. Put money into their business by giving them YOUR business. That’s how you support them.

So, here’s to 2019. A year of amazing grace and fulfillment of dreams God placed on your heart.  Let’s do this together! You and me… com-padres in accomplishments. Let’s hold each other accountable to our dreams. Check up on each other to see what the other needs. Life is so much more fun when you buddy up and do life together.
